Locks

MUSC students can check out one lock to use on one of our lockers a semester at a time.

By registering below you are placing a possible reservation for a lock.

Demand for use of lockers is usually greater than the available supply, so those students register for the lottery but are not picked will be placed on a list for the lockers that are not checked out by the lottery winners. These will be on a first-come, first-served basis and you will be informed by email of the date when the locks will be available.

If you are a lottery winner, you will receive an email and will need to come by the 4th floor desk to check out a lock. The beginning and end dates for the time period you can check out a lock will be in the email.

With submission of your NetID you are agreeing to abide by these policies:

  1. Library materials stored in lockers must be checked out under your name.
  2. No food or beverages in the lockers.
  3. No weapons or hazardous materials in the lockers.
  4. Only the lock provided by the library may be used.
  5. Lockers need to be cleaned out and the lock turned in by the due date for that semester. If the lock is turned in past the due date, overdue fines will be assessed at $10.00 a day, up to a maximum of $50.00.
  6. Lockers may be inspected by authorized Library staff at any time.
  7. If our lock is lost or damaged, a replacement fee of $5.00 will be charged.
