This site provides a large archive of free full-text scientific articles.
Loansome Doc
Loansome Doc allows users to order full-text copies of articles from a local medical library (local fees and delivery methods may vary). Users must register to use this service.

PLoS (Public Library of Science)
This site provides free online access to peer-reviewed original research articles and essays. Each article includes a synopsis written for the general public. PLoS Medicine includes a Patient Summary of each article.
