- Procedures Consult
(MUSC Library subscription; MD Consult, Elsevier) - Procedures Consult gives information to help prepare for, perform and follow up on common clinical procedures. It contains text instructions, illustrations, and videos for these procedures.
- NetAnatomy
- NetAnatomy is an online anatomy resource provided by the MUSC Library for students and faculty of every college. It contains images and information in three areas: Radiographic Anatomy, Cross Sectional Anatomy, and Gross Anatomy. Faculty, students and staff of MUSC are authorized users of this resource, and as such may use its images, properly cited, for noncommercial, instituion-sanctioned purposes.
- Access over 14,000 Electronic Journals
- The library now has on-line, full text access to over 14,000 unique eJournal titles; an increase of over 8,000 titles. The new titles strengthen our nursing, allied health, psychology - behavioral sciences and medical science journal collections. Perhaps just as important, many of the new titles provide access to important subject areas that are not primarily clinical or science research orientated, but nevertheless important to the University. We now have a good collection of legal, business, ethics, social sciences, education, language - linguistics, engineering, and computer sciences journals. Although many will find its use intuitive, classes on how to navigate the new eJournals@MUSCLibrary interface will be offered. - Exam Master Online
- EXAM MASTER is a board preparation and review tool for medical students, residents, practicing physicians and physician assistants. Medical students and residents can study for USMLE Step 1, Step 2 and Step 3. Practicing physicians can prepare for the Family Medicine (ABFM), Internal Medicine (ABIM), OB/GYN (ABOG), Pediatrics (ABP) and General Surgery (ABS) specialty boards and SPEX. Physician Assistant students can prepare for PANCE and PANCRE. Available from the MUSC Library.
- UpToDate
- UpToDate is a comprehensive clinical information resource now available for MUSC physicians through the MUSC Library. The topic reviews are written exclusively for UpToDate by physicians for physicians - nearly 3,000 physicians serve as authors. The content is comprehensive yet concise and fully referenced. NOTE: Due to license restrictions, this resource is available only on computers physically connected to the MUSC Network.
- AccessMedicine
- AccessMedicine offers a collection of textbooks, clinical medicine and basic science books -- all fulltext online and easily searchable. E-books include Harrison\'s Online, Hurst\'s The Heart, MMBID, and Current Medical Diagnosis & Treatment 2005. The LANGE Educational Library includes additional basic science and clinical medicine titles.
- Terrorism
- This site provides information for both health professionals and the general public on aspects of terrorism, bioterrorism and related topics. Topics include medical and health care information, South Carolina resources, preparedness, and the psychological aspects of terrorism and bioterrorism. This web site is hosted by the MUSC Library.
- Good Citations!
- Covers latest information on clinical medicine and basic medical sciences. Citations and abstracts, links to full text via library holdings. Provided by the MUSC Library via Pubmed.
- Hands on Health - South Carolina
- Hands on Health-SC is a consumer health web site designed for the people of South Carolina. It features health issues that are important in the state and stories from South Carolinians who are successfully managing health problems. Links to health and wellness Web sites on many topics are included. The emphasis is on good, easy-to-use, plain language health and wellness information. Spanish language sites are included.
- HIPAA at MUSC, Web-based Training
- Anyone at MUSC who works with protected health information must complete this training. This includes all Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) and University Medical Associates (UMA) employees. This training module consists of approximately 60 slides and a short registration form.
- HIPAA at MUSC
- This Web site includes draft policies, updates from the HIPAA Steering Committee, and training information. You can find training schedules for live classes and a link to Web-based training.
- ACS Journals
- Thirty full text electronic journals from the American Chemical Society. Access to these e-journals is provided via the ACS search interface, allowing you to search individual journals or to search across all thirty.
