US Census Data
Census Bureau information shapes important policy and operational decisions that help improve the nationís social and economic conditions. They conduct the constitutionally mandated census of population and housing every 10 years, which is used to apportion seats in the House of Representatives and informs congressional redistricting. They also conduct a census of all business establishments and of all governmental units, known respectively as the Economic Census and the Census of Governments, every five years.
